Situated in the heritage precinct of Sandy Bay the original house was built in 1925 with multiple additions made over the years, the clients wished to consolidate the house into a more functional contemporary home. While in keeping with the street scape the North of the property provided an opportunity to maximise solar gain and views over Sandy Bay Rivulet and towards the Derwent River. The original fireplace in the kitchen has been salvaged and reused as a divider between the kitchen space and pantry. Other features of the original house were also kept and bought into the new addition such as skirting boards and trims that supplement selected modern materials. 

Exterior is due to be completed in 2025.
